Summary

"World of the Hunter" by Stephen Marlowe is a Science Fiction story set sometime in the mid-20th century. It paints a picture of a future Earth used as a hunting ground by rich aliens. The story looks at how humans and aliens interact, and how humanity fights to stay true to itself when more advanced beings are in charge. Our attention is focused on Gilbert, a guide who is chosen to lead Mulveen, a hunter from Sirius, across the dangerous lands of Earth. But the game changes when Mulveen sets his sights on hunting Gilbert himself. Now, Gilbert must fight not just for his survival against Mulveen’s brutal hunt, but also to make a stand for the respect and value of humans against these conceited aliens. With the help of Wenzi, a brave camp girl, Gilbert navigates deadly swamps and plans his next move. The story reaches an intense peak as Gilbert faces his greatest trial, pushing his body and spirit to the limit as he tries to regain his stolen identity.
