Summary

"Two Worlds for One" by George O. Smith is a science fiction story that looks at what could happen if different ideas and countries were split apart. The main character, Professor Milton, thinks the only way to stop fighting is to cut the Earth in half. He leaves his job and starts trying to do just that, hoping to end the Cold War struggles, which were a big deal back when the book was written. Some important people, along with an FBI agent, try to stop him because they know it could be a disaster. Even though they try their best, the professor succeeds, and suddenly there are two moons, showing how divided the world still is. At the end, Milton lives on one of the moons, still thinking about his big plan and what it means.
