Rastignac the Devil

"Rastignac the Devil" by Philip José Farmer is a science fiction story placed in a future world, where humans try to survive on the planet L'Bawpfey after a big war. He hates the 'Skins' that keep him down and longs for the Six Flying Stars, which represent hope and a way out. As Rastignac gets more serious about starting a revolution, the story looks at who people really are, the struggles they face, and the search for freedom in a creative and complex world.
