Summary

"A Will and No Will; or, A Bone for the Lawyers" by Charles Macklin is a funny play that makes fun of lawyers and society in the 1700s. The story revolves around Sir Isaac Skinflint, a super stingy guy obsessed with his money and avoiding writing a will. Other characters, like his family who want his money and a sneaky servant, add to the craziness as Skinflint tries to protect his wealth. The play starts with a fun chat between people in the audience, setting the stage for a wild ride full of inheritance schemes and legal tricks that shows how silly greed and family drama can be.
