Summary

"All for Love; or, Her Heart's Sacrifice" by Mrs. Alex. McVeigh Miller is a romance from the 1800s about a young woman named Berry Vining who has big dreams. Berry is drawn to a wealthy man, but she must handle problems with love, her place in society, and what her family expects of her. The story starts when Berry sees a group of fancy people riding by, and she is especially interested in Charley Bonair, who is rich. Charley sends her roses, making her think they might have a chance, but then she finds out he is already promised to someone else, Rosalind Montague, who is also wealthy. Berry is confused and sad, and this makes her decide to make a choice that will change everything for her. The beginning of the story creates a world of love, ambition, and the clear differences between classes.
