Summary

"The Search Party" by George A. Birmingham is a story set in early 1900s Ireland. It follows Dr. Lucius O'Grady, a country doctor who feels like an outsider in the town’s social circles. He dreams of being accepted by the area's high society, but his everyday job keeps him on the fringe of the local elite. Things get interesting when a mysterious man named Mr. Red moves into the old Rosivera house. Mr. Red keeps to himself, which makes everyone in town curious and fuels their gossip. Dr. O'Grady gets drawn into the mystery surrounding Mr. Red, especially after being called to his house one night to treat an injury. This sets off a series of strange events and a bit of dark humor as the doctor tries to unravel the secrets of his new neighbor and his hidden life.
