Summary

"A Guest of Ganymede" by C. C. MacApp is a science fiction story set in the 1960s about ambition and the unknown. Gil Murdoch journeys to Jupiter's moon, Ganymede, with Frederick Waverill, a very rich man who can't see, as they journey to the alien moon. The story looks at how far someone might go for things like living a long time using a strange alien virus, while Murdoch secretly plans to take the virus for himself. Tensions soar when Waverill recovers his sight thanks to alien technology. Murdoch struggles with whether his actions are right or wrong, which leads to a big fight between him and Waverill. The ending has surprises that make the story explore the dangers of chasing power and what people will do to get what they want.
