Summary

"Rocket Summer" by Ray Bradbury is a science fiction story that explores the costs of getting to the moon. It is about the launch of the first rocket to the Moon. The President of the company in charge, William Stanley, has to deal with worries about what will happen when they send the rocket. When the rocket finally lands back on Earth, it isn't a celebration. The mission brings a dark destiny to humanity. The story asks us to think about the bad things that can happen when science and exploration aren't controlled.
