Summary

"Tulan" by C. C. MacApp is a gripping science fiction story set in a war-torn solar system where themes of loyalty, leadership, and the heavy consequences of war take center stage; it orbits around Admiral Tulan, a determined leader who struggles with orders from the Council of Four to surrender after a tough conflict with the Coar. Disappointed by his government’s surrender request, he makes a bold choice to resist and brings his fleet together for a final stand against Coar so that they can seek a chance for peace. While planning important movements, the book portrays Tulan's inner and outer fights as he makes tough choices affecting both his crew and family, while coming face-to-face with the huge impacts of conflict within their universe. As tensions rise rapidly to their peak point, Tulan must carefully balance his duties, honor, and survival when there is much at stake.
