Summary

"Myself When Young: Confessions" by Alec Waugh is a memoir where the author looks back on his younger years, mainly on his life and society in London in the early 1900s, during the beginning of his adulthood. As he remembers moments from his youth, like leaving a party and thinking about a publishing deal, Waugh thinks deeply about himself and how he feels about friends, books, and the busy world around him. Overall, Waugh shows readers what it was like to grow up in that time, dealing with the ups and downs of growing up and life's many tough demands.
