Summary

** "Flight From Time" by Alfred Coppel, is a science fiction tale about a man named Malenson who tries to avoid punishment for his crimes by traveling through space for a very long time. The story looks at being alone and how people understand time. Malenson steals a lot of money and travels into space, thinking he will hide until it is legal to come back. At first, he feels in charge, but his spaceship has problems with its time system, which throws him into a state where time doesn't seem to exist. As time passes, he gets more and more lost, forgetting who he is. When he goes back to Earth, thinking only fifteen years have gone by, he is surprised to learn that it has only been a little over two years. The story ends sadly when he is arrested and realizes he has aged very quickly. **
