Summary

"Suzy" by Watson Parker is a science fiction story that examines love and loneliness during space missions. Deep in space, astronaut Whit Clayborne finds solace in Suzy, a voice assistant who keeps him grounded and connected. As his return nears, Whit's affection for Suzy grows, leading him to propose marriage, unaware of Suzy's vow to remain emotionally detached until his return. About the Author

Watson Parker was an American historian, author and academic. Parker, a professor of history at the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh, specialized in the history of the Black Hills of South Dakota and eastern Wyoming. He was inducted into the South Dakota Hall of Fame in 2011 for his work.
