Love Story

"Love Story" by Irving E. Cox, Jr. is a science fiction story that shows a future world where women are in charge and men are controlled by a special drug that makes them obedient. George, the main character, is different because the drug doesn't work on him. He starts to wonder if everything he knows is a lie and is urged to question those around him. He's supposed to marry Jenny Harper, and even though he seems to go along with what people expect, he's angry about how men are treated. On their honeymoon, George challenges Jenny, which helps him to learn about the compound and together they formulate a bold plan to change things. George bravely fights for love and freedom, exposing lies and facing powerful leaders, leading to a big decision that will change their lives forever, until both seize a chance for escape toward hope.
