Summary

"A Matter of Ethics" by R. R. (Russell Robert) Winterbotham is a science fiction tale set in the town of Faderfield that introduces Homer, a single man whose life takes a sharp turn with the arrival of Qalith, an intriguing girl who claims to be from the Pleiades star cluster. Faced with a tempting but ethically ambiguous job opportunity, Homer must weigh his career ambitions against the complex rules of human society while trying to understand the beautiful woman in front of him. As Homer gets to know this visitor from another world, he is challenged to reassess his values, leading him towards a surprising choice: a life-altering decision that involves leaving his old existence behind for the chance of a different future on Planet 12 with Qalith.
