Two in a Zoo

"Two in a Zoo" by Curtis Dunham and Oliver Herford is a charming children's tale set in a zoo, where animals have human-like qualities. The adventure begins with Mahmoud, a wise old elephant missing his jungle home, and introduces Toots, a young boy with a disability, along with a girl called "Princess". When Toots and Princess visit the zoo and meet Mahmoud a friendship blossoms; Toots mysteriously understands what some of the animals are saying. He shares his interpretations with Mahmoud, forging a special connection with the elephant and his new human friends, illustrating the beautiful ways that different worlds can intersect through empathy and shared experiences.
