Summary

"Resurrection" by Robert Shea is a science fiction story that looks at what could happen when science finds ways to bring people back from the dead and change how humans live using technology. It happens in a time far into the future. The main part of the story is a talk between a man who looks like he's from Asia and a young girl. The man was brought back to life using advanced methods, and the girl is very interested in what his life was like. He explains that in this future, people who have died can be brought back using what they know about biological memory, which means that even a tiny piece of someone can be used to rebuild them into how they once were. The man shares that he used to be Genghis Khan, and he talks about how hard it is to get used to a world where anyone from history could possibly be revived. This brings up questions about who we are, where we belong, and what life really means.
