"Resurrection Seven" by Stephen Marlowe is a science fiction story from the 1950s about second chances and culture transformations. A man named Eric Taine wakes up after being frozen for almost 200 years and has to get used to a future where he's super important. People call him "Lazarus," like a leader brought back to life, and his job is to keep everyone together on a spaceship. He soon realizes things aren't perfect in this future world. The "Lazarus" before him died mysteriously, and Eric discovers that the people on the ship, who are going to colonize a far away solar system, are stuck in old ways and confused about why they even exist. A girl warns him about secret plans to ruin everything, and Eric has to find the other "Lazarus" people and stop everyone from turning on each other. He has to guide them back on track so they don't lose their humanity.
