Summary

"Clear the Track!" by E. Werner is a story set in the late 1800s, primarily during a flower festival in Nice, where love and ambition collide. Eric Dernburg finds himself captivated by Cecilia von Wildenrod, but their budding romance is complicated by social expectations and rivals for her attention. Cecilia's brother, Oscar von Wildenrod, harbors secrets that add tension to the mix. Eric must balance his romantic aspirations with his father's demands concerning the family's iron and steel business, setting the stage for conflicts and challenges. The novel uses the lively, colorful backdrop of the festival to contrast with the serious themes of social class and personal desires.
