Summary

"The Dragon-Queen of Jupiter" by Leigh Brackett is a science fiction story happening on Jupiter, where soldiers at Fort Washington fight off lizard-like natives controlled by a powerful dragon-queen. The story dives into the challenges faced by Tex, a brave corporal, and his fellow soldiers, as they cope with enemy attacks, low supplies, and their weakening morale. As the attacks get worse, Tex meets the dragon-queen, who uses clever strategies that cause many problems for them. The soldiers must learn to overcome their deadly surroundings, where special dry areas become important for survival.
