Summary

"Hoodie" by Mrs. Molesworth is a children's story that shows us the life of a young, feisty girl named Hoodie, who often clashes with her family and the world. We first meet Hoodie in a nursery, where her loud screams and claims that she loves no one cause quite a stir among her family, who are confused and annoyed by her behavior. The story then highlights Hoodie's internal struggles with her feelings and her desire for connection, mainly focusing on her relationships with her siblings and the problems they face. At its core, the story is about childhood emotions, how families work, and the search for a place to belong..
