Summary

"The Thirteen Little Black Pigs, and Other Stories" by Mrs. Molesworth is a book filled with charming tales from the late 1800s for young readers. The stories focus on the fun of childhood, how families work, and learning to be good, usually following imaginative kids as they play and grow. One story, "The Thirteen Little Black Pigs," follows siblings Maxie and Dolly, who start to argue while counting pigs, but their mom helps them make up. Other stories, such as "Right Hand and Left" and "A Friend in Need," show the ups and downs of being siblings and friends, teaching valuable lessons about caring for others and being understanding in a world that is sometimes difficult and joyful.
