Galactic Ghost

"Galactic Ghost" by Walter Kubilius, tells of a man's journey through the stars where solitude and a mysterious ghost ship can drive one into the depths of despair. After the tragic death of his friend Dobbin, Willard finds himself completely alone on the spaceship Mary Lou. Lost in the emptiness of space, he is consumed by memories of Earth while being tormented by the appearance of a spectral ship. As time passes, Willard's grip on reality fades, leading him face-to-face with the chilling realization that he may be trapped in a cycle of eternal isolation alongside the other lost souls of the cosmos. The story becomes a sad exploration into how vital physical connection is to a person and the horror of changing into nothing more than a wandering specter in nothingness.
