Summary

"Viewpoint" by Randall Garrett is a science fiction tale that sends Richard Broom hurtling into a bewildering future, a place of towering cities and strange machines that defy his understanding. Waking with a fractured memory, Broom struggles to piece together his identity and the reason for his journey through time while experiencing a growing fear from the possibility of being trapped. His path crosses with Contarini, another soul adrift in time, and together they confront the mysteries of their existence, grappling with the weight of memory and the universal human anxieties that bind us to both our past and future.
