Summary

"Brain Twister" by Randall Garrett and Laurence M. Janifer is a comedic science fiction story where FBI agent Kenneth J. Malone's relaxing vacation is cut short when he's thrown into a strange case: a telepathic spy is messing with a secret military project. Malone, guided by some very odd characters, must figure out how to stop an enemy who can read minds, causing both funny and tense situations; his investigation starts on a particularly bad morning and then he is quickly told about an urgent case about a telepath in the FBI, which leads to very humorous exchanges involving mental powers and culminates in Malone's quest where he finds a telepathic old lady claiming to be the legendary Queen Elizabeth I.
