Summary

"A Man of Means" by P. G. (Pelham Grenville) Wodehouse is a set of six funny stories from the early 1900s about Roland Bleke, a regular office worker. Roland's world flips when he gets engaged to Muriel Coppin, and to dodge marriage stress, he asks for a pay cut. But, he wins a lot of money instead, and his life spirals into craziness as he tries to hide his wealth from his soon-to-be wife and her family, which puts him in some pretty silly spots. The stories are funny looks at things like rich and poor, love, and how crazy things can get when someone suddenly gets rich.
