Summary

"Innocent at Large" by Poul Anderson, is a science fiction story of a Martian named Peter Matheny who journeys to Earth to find a business advisor to boost Mars's trade. The book tells the story as Peter quickly gets lost in Earth's strange ways. His mission gets even harder when he meets Gus Doran, an Earthman, who pulls Peter into shady situations that threaten the mission. Pulled into a blackmail plot, Peter needs to use his smarts and questionable help to survive, showing how Peter changes as he learns how to deal with Earth's tough environment.

About the Author

Poul William Anderson was an American fantasy and science fiction author who was active from the 1940s until his death in 2001. Anderson also wrote historical novels. He won the Hugo Award seven times and the Nebula Award three times, and was nominated many more times for awards.
