Summary

"A Bunch of Cherries: A Story of Cherry Court School" by L. T. Meade is a book from the late 1800s that tells the story of girls at Cherry Court School, especially Kitty Sharston. The story is mostly about the Cherry Feast and a scholarship competition. Kitty's dad is leaving for India, and she might not be able to stay at the school because they don't have much money anymore. The girls are friends, but they also compete with each other, mainly for the scholarship that Kitty really needs. Kitty is strong-willed, but she has problems, so the reader can feel excitement for what might happen next. The beloved Mrs. Clavering runs the school. The school is old and is set amongst cherry gardens, which set the stage for the annual Cherry Festivities.
