Summary

"The Princess of the School" by Angela Brazil is a story focused on the community and drama at Chilcombe Hall, a boarding school where friendships blossom and young girls prepare for their Christmas holiday. In the midst of the excitement for the holiday, the sisters Lilias and Dulcie Ingleton and their classmates navigate the ups and downs of school life as they contend with family expectations and personal longings. The early departure for Christmas unveils both the eagerness and disappointments of the girls, from train delays, to the Ingleton sisters’ eagerness for a spirited adventure in their journey home. An undercurrent of loss and family challenges underscores their experiences, introducing themes of resilience and identity.

About the Author
