Summary

"A Patriotic Schoolgirl" by Angela Brazil, details the experiences of sisters Marjorie and Dona as they begin their education at Brackenfield College. The story centers on themes of friendship, self-discovery, and adapting to new situations, mainly through Marjorie's brave and energetic attitude compared to Dona's quieter nature. The narrative begins with the girls preparing to leave for boarding school, where Marjorie's enthusiasm contrasts with Dona's worries about being away from home. As they settle into their new lives, they deal with the tough parts of growing up and the importance of being strong when things get hard. The school is governed by strict rules, and they come across new classmates with different backgrounds and personalities.
