Shuddering castle

"Shuddering Castle" by Wilbur Finley Fauley is a science fiction story set during the early 20th century that follows the Royce family, who live a secluded life in their Long Island castle, until the confirmed radio contacts to the planet Mars. Henry Royce, with help from the local press, decides he wants to use his resources to communicate with the Martian colony, which causes internal conflict with his brother Livingston because of the lack of scientific confirmation. As Henry continues to interact with the Martian colony, a mysterious visitor arrives from the same colony, which involves a visiting prince, family legacy, and scientific discovery.
