Under the Country Sky

"Under the Country Sky" by Grace S. Richmond, is a heartwarming story set in the early 1900s about Georgiana Warne who lives in a humble country home with her sick father and has big dreams. The story explores what it's like to want more in life, tackle complicated friendships, and understand the challenges of society. As Georgiana welcomes her college friends they accidentally show her how different her life is in comparison to theirs, which causes a little envy and the desire to be accepted. When her rich cousin, Jeannette Crofton, visits, Georgiana is even more determined to prove her worth and she also starts to have feelings for their new boarder, Mr. E. C. Jefferson, who seems like a very interesting man.
