Summary

"It Could Be Anything" by Keith Laumer is a science fiction story that throws us into a world where reality is constantly questioned. The adventure follows Brett, a young man whose ordinary life takes a sharp turn after a train accident lands him in a mysterious city. This city, ruled by the odd Gels and filled with strange golem-like people, is not what it seems. With the help of Dhuva, Brett begins to see the artificial nature of his new surroundings and the pair decides to fight back against the hidden powers that control the city. Their fight leads to a big showdown that makes everyone rethink what is real and what is not, reminding us to always search for the truth beyond what we are shown.
