Summary

"Nicholas Nickleby" by Charles Dickens is a story set in the 1800s about a young man named Nicholas. After his father dies, Nicholas must take care of his mom and sister. The book looks at tough topics like being poor, getting an education, how families stick together, and unfairness in society, all happening in England during that time. After his father's death, Nicholas seeks help from his rich uncle, Ralph Nickleby, who he hopes can help him and his family. Nicholas then decides to work as a teacher for a mean man called Mr. Squeers at a school named Dotheboys Hall. This begins the story of Nicholas's voyage as he faces difficult situations and meets dishonest people. He is trying to make his way in society, dealing with the bad luck he and his family endures.
