Summary

"Aunt Jane's Nieces at Work" by L. Frank Baum is a story about three cousins, Patricia, Louise, and Beth. These young women team up to assist their friend, Kenneth Forbes, in his political campaign. Kenneth is running for a position against someone who isn't so honest. The ladies use their determination and cleverness to help Kenneth win and deal with problems caused by advertising signs in their town. The book begins with a peek into the Doyle family's life in New York as they talk about Kenneth's worries about running for the House of Representatives. The cousins each have their own way of doing things, but they all want to help Kenneth. They come up with plans to help Kenneth get elected and talk to people in the town, demonstrating their willingness to do whatever it takes. The story explores themes of activism, friendship, and how people can make a difference by working together for a common cause.
