Summary

"Aunt Jane's Nieces in Society" by L. Frank Baum is a lighthearted story about the complicated world of social climbing and family relationships. The story follows three young women, Louise, Beth, and Patricia, who suddenly find themselves thrust into high society thanks to their rich uncle, John Merrick. While Uncle John isn't too concerned with social status, the girls' aunt pushes him to make sure they're accepted by New York's elite. As the girls navigate fancy parties, social expectations, and the ups and downs of finding their place, their stories show how they deal with the pressures of wealth and fitting in, all while just trying to live their lives.
