Summary

"A Desperate Voyage" by E. F. Knight is a story about a lawyer named Henry Carew who throws away his career by gambling away the trust fund that belonged to the people who hired him. With public shame around the corner, he considers suicide, but then he gets invited by a friend for a cruise and makes a last-minute decision to escape instead, which makes things even darker on the sea and puts him in tough situations where he has to make very difficult choices.
