Electro-episoded in A.D. 2025

"Electro-episoded in A.D. 2025" by E.D. Skinner transports readers to 2025 where futuristic tech and daily routines are combined to craft a satirical tale, as suggested by the publisher. Lieutenant-Colonel Algernon Sidney St. Johnstone's engagement with Esmeralda starts a series of unfortunate events. After a quarrel about a birthday present leads to Esmeralda flying off in her plane, Algernon finds her injured and facing a tiger in a snowy area. Amidst strange technology and his own drunken state, Algernon bravely but clumsily tries to save her. The story ends with a funny twist, mixing excitement with a look at social standards, especially gender roles and the period's ridiculousness.
