Green Grew the Lasses

"Green Grew the Lasses" by Ruth Laura Wainwright is a science fiction story set in Mimosa Beach, where women and girls inexplicably start turning green, throwing the town into disarray. The story follows the Raymond family as they deal with this strange event, exploring ideas about who we are, what society expects, and how people react when things get weird, especially when only the men remain unchanged. In the end, when the faneweed is gone, the characters go back to normal, but they have to think about what they went through and the crazy ride they were on.
