Summary

"Little Prudy's Cousin Grace" by Sophie May is a heartwarming tale set in the 19th century about two young girls, Grace and Cassy, whose friendship is tested by ambition and the everyday challenges of growing up. As the best of friends, nearly twelve years old, they form a unique bond, symbolized by exchanged rings to show their loyalty to each other. This bond is challenged as they navigate the adventures of creating a secret society named the Ruby Seal, and explore their contrasting personalities against the backdrop of school life. It's a story that paints a vivid picture of childhood, where the promise of everlasting friendship collides with the realities of loyalty and growing up.
