Summary

"Prudy Keeping House" by Sophie May is a charming tale of youth; a group of cousins find themselves in charge of their Aunt Madge's home, leading to comical situations as they try to manage the household themselves. The book begins with a snowstorm trapping the cousins inside, building anticipation for the big responsibility they are about to take on and their whimsical conversations hint at the fun to come, because their Aunt Madge has to leave. Full of youthful curiosity and excitement, the children see this as a delightful adventure, and they are eager to rise to the occasion despite their inexperience.
