"Girls of the Forest" by L. T. Meade is a story about a group of young sisters living in a cozy old house in the New Forest who are about to have their lives turned upside down. When their Aunt Sophia is about to come, the girls imagine she's going to be extremely strict and try to change their fun, relaxed life with lots of lessons and rules. Before she shows up, the girls joke around and are already planning how to not let her control them. The story is light and cheerful. The oldest sister, Verena, helps them through it, as they get ready for their aunt and what she'll mean for their family.
