Summary

"Dead World" by Jack Douglas is a science fiction story set far in the future after war has been banned, and a strict class system is set in place. The story highlights the importance of who we are, staying alive, and chasing what we want, even when things look impossible. Follow Commander Red Stone and his crew as they accept a dangerous job: helping people from the dead planet Nova-Maurania. One of these people, Yuan Saltario, wants to use ionic energy to bring his frozen world back to life but must find a way to fulfill his dream, even though the Galactic Council is against it. Their journey is full of attacks and problems, and they're always running out of time. In the final battle, Red Stone needs to decide whether to listen to his orders or to help the refugees reach for a fresh start, which will change the course of their lives, and show how a desire for life can be found even among the stars.
