Re-creations

"Re-creations" by Grace Livingston Hill is a story set in the early 1900s about main character Cornelia Copley who leaves college to care for her family, facing a hard new reality; the story explores sacrifice, duty, and dreams. At the beginning, Cornelia is sad to leave her college life behind because of a letter from her father, who needs her to come home and help with her ill mother and siblings. Returning home, Cornelia finds her family struggling and her own dreams fading away. Despite her disappointment, she decides to take on the responsibility of caring for her family, learning valuable lessons about herself and what truly matters, even when it means putting her own aspirations aside.
