Summary

"The Incomplete Theft" by Randall Garrett is an exciting science fiction story from the 1950s about a Valdorian spy, Torlyn Khy, whose mission is to steal advanced spaceship technology from Earth. Khy disguises himself as an Earth engineer and sneaks into the Sahara Spaceport, hoping to steal the "Skyjumper," a spaceship with amazing teleportation abilities to aid his planet in a war.. As he begins his plan, unexpected issues arise, including a confrontation with an engineer. He gets on the ship and starts the teleportation, but a last-minute change leads to a funny result: the ship's insides are sent into space, leaving Khy stuck in a empty shell. The story ends with a realization for the Valdorian spy, displaying the story's suspense and sense of humor.
