"Isle o' Dreams" by Frederick Ferdinand Moore is an adventure story set in Manila at the turn of the century. Robert's trip takes an interesting turn when he meets a hotel clerk, and hears the captivating stories from an old sailor, Captain Dinshaw whose life centers around a golden island, causing Robert to consider a new goal of treasure hunting while his relationship with the mysterious Marjorie Locke develops in the background.
