A Flock of Girls and Boys

"A Flock of Girls and Boys" by Nora Perry is a children's story that occurs at a summer hotel where a group of kids learn about friendship, class differences, and issues in their society. We meet characters like Tilly Morris, who is energetic as she deals with the complicated social rules, and Peggy Smith, is a puzzle and causes some problems and confusion. Earlier in the book, the kids are excited for the Pelhams, who are rich, to show up. The kids talk about what they think of class, money, and who's important. Will Wentworth and Tilly Morris don't like when people are snobby and care too much about how important they seem. The book puts kids from different places together, like Peggy and her aunt, who at first seem not as important, to show them that what they thought was true might not be.
