The Butterfly Kiss

"The Butterfly Kiss" by Arthur Dekker Savage is a science fiction story set in a tense, war-threatened universe that examines loyalty, who we are, and the difficult parts of space politics. Sy uses his smarts to control things while working with Arna to mess up the Sur-Malic's war plans, but the aliens don't know this. The story has both exciting action and emotional parts, as Sy and Arna become closer while still dealing with war; their teamwork will either save or destroy their worlds in a big ending.
