Summary

"Giants on the Earth" by S. P. (Sterner St. Paul) Meek is a science fiction story set in a future Earth controlled by Jovian overlords. The story introduces Damis, who has both Jovian and Earth heritage, as he finds himself in the middle of rising tensions between the oppressed humans and the alien rulers. The story begins with Glavour, the cruel Jovian Viceroy of Earth, who is used to getting his way, but soon finds that the oppressed Earthmen are brewing for a revolt. When Glavour seeks after a young Earth woman, Lura, Damis steps in to protect her, sparking a heated conflict. As the battle lines are drawn, Damis faces a difficult choice with his mixed heritage, and his people face oppression. This sets the stage for a revolt against the Jovian regime, filled with suspense, clashes, and foreshadowing of a major battle to come.
