The Wayfarers

"The Wayfarers" by Mary Stewart Cutting is a story that follows people trying to find their way in the world, dealing with tough choices about work, family, and what makes them happy. We meet Justin Alexander, who's at a point where he needs to decide whether to take a risk with a new job, and also how to take care of his family. His relationship with his wife, Lois, is loving but hints at hidden struggles. The book starts with a crowded ferry, which feels like how everyone's just trying to get through life, and then zooms in to show some of the people in the crowd and their individual paths.
