Summary

"Such Blooming Talk" by L. Major Reynolds is a funny science fiction story about a scientist named Henderson, who makes plants able to talk and walk through his experiments. Everything starts when Henderson makes a small plant that can walk and talk. His success is quickly disturbed by funny events. Other plants start to talk and move, like his mother's geranium. The story then becomes funnier as the geranium goes to answer the doorbell, and a rose bush complains about being picked. The story shows the funny chaos that occurs because of Henderson's scientific discovery, mixing silly and attractive parts as the plants show their own feelings.
